MAY  2005

Ken Mitchell judged the May table show. Whilst attendance was down on normal due to selections for the interbranch challenge the previous Friday, a most enjoyable night was had by all. It is very pleasing to note that Hills branch continues to attract new members several who were present on the night. I believe this can be put down to the fact that the open breeders are always so willing to assist the new members with advice & assistance to anyone wishing to be part of this great hobby. The bird of the night went to a opaline sky blue cock owned by Peter Dodd. Open hen of the night was a greygreen spangle also owned by Peter Dodd. Novice hen of the night was won by Lloyd Mullins with a Lutino & novice cock of the night was won by Graeme Gordon also with a Lutino. The cock also won novice bird of the night.

A big thank you to all the members who brought birds along to the selection night for the state challenge. Hills branch were successful in winning the state challenge for the first time in several years. In addition 10 birds from Hills branch members were selected to represent NSW at the Nationals. A special congratulations to Andre Ozoux & Mark Chidel whose birds were successful in winning at the nationals in the albino & yellow face blue class respectively.
